Chief Pronesti – loved the podcast. One detail about the Vendome that you may have left out. In the engineering reports it was said that a major cause of the structural failure was a hole that had been cut in the affected wall one level and below and directly in line with the center supporting column of that wall to allow for the passage of A/C ducting. I didn’t know about some of the other details that you memtioned (changes in roof construction, improper columns/beams), thank you for mentioning them – I have a better understanding of the incident now.
